Cost and Study Hint #1

Word is spreading about BMA and I thought I'd begin to inform those interested parties about our rates.

Lessons are $60 an hour or $30 a 1/2 hour.

Each student will have a course of study tailored to their needs, age and current level.

If possible, I will provide printed excercises however, students should be prepared to purchase

their own study materials, as well, if required.

Study Hint #1 

When seeking to improve technique - utilize a metronome. Start performing the passage very slowly - and gradually - very gradually increase the tempo by 1 metronomic marking per day.

For example: IF one is practicing today at 50 beats per quarter note, tomorrow change the metro nome to 51, the next day to 52 bpm ( beats per minute) and continue this every day. Each 10 days one will be ten beats faster. Make sure to start slow enough to allow for absolute perfect execution. Increasing one metronomic beat per day will allow for very deep traning which will give the student the opportunity to make the most fruitful progress. It is a very effective and very rewarding way to increase one's abilities. Enjoy!
